Salzwelten - LUCK UP!
"Glück auf" is the traditional Miners welcome greet your guide will use to welcome you. After getting an overall, to protect your "civil" clothes, you will ride on a mini train into the mountain. You will learn a lot about the history of this mine which is linked to the history of State and City of Salzburg.
You will hear about the rising of a small medevial village to a rich and wealthy city. This was only possible with the “white gold” of the Dürrnberg. You will feel like traveling through time when you walk through the old parts of the mine which were built in 1500, or sliding down deep under the surface. The guided tour will take a little more than an hour and will be an uforgettable memory. This is an ideal excursion in case of bad weather.
